What We Cover

Our specialists assess the full spectrum of content including features, documentaries, news, promotional, sports and a variety of entertainment.

We apply the same meticulous approach in safeguarding our client's assets as we do for Sky's premium content which is broadcast on some of the UK's most prominent channels such as Sky Atlantic, Sky Comedy, Sky Cinema, Sky Max and Sky News.

Assets undergo an in-depth, real-time eyeball assessment in one of our high-end QC suites which are equipped for HD, UHD SDR and UHD HDR formats.

The suites are kitted out with QC grade Sony BVMX300 monitors, waveform and set up for Atmos, 5.1 and stereo audio mixes.

Fostering a good working relationship with our clients is vital before and after delivery and we aim to fully understand client expectations to ensure a satisfactory outcome.

Whilst ensuring that content is of the highest possible calibre, we can also take a pragmatic approach when appropriate. Parameters can be adjusted if informed prior to delivery on known issues such as archive or material which would not ordinarily meet current standards.

Upon the client's reception of the QC report, we engage in discussions where suitable, offering guidance on the best course of action.

I have been a part of Sky's Content Services for almost 20 years. Starting my career as a runner, I progressed through various departments such as Tape Library, Progressive Download and Quality Assurance before taking the reins as Manager of Content Services in 2016.

I now lead a team of highly skilled QC Specialists, who have a wealth of experience and a thorough knowledge of formats, specifications, and regulations.
